"The Creature" Unisex T-Shirt

“On a sunny day after school, Tomoko walked home along a cliff's edge. Suddenly she felt a primal terror overcome her. She did not know why, but she had the horrifying feeling, that if she did not lay down and hide immediately, she would die.

She obeyed her instincts and laid down on her stomach, peering over the edge of the cliff while holding her breath. She was only 12 years old and had never known the fear of death. Not like this. Silently, a creature with slick, black skin emerged from the Cliffside, only a few meters away. Amidst the horror, she could make out long hair protruding from the creature, running down its back in the shape of a Mohawk. She felt a deadly aura emanating from it, and it somehow felt like it was searching for someone or something.

Tomoko didn't know what to do, but she was frozen with fear anyways. She laid still and silent, hoping that the creature wouldn't notice her. After a few tense moments, the creature disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. Tomoko waited for a few moments before running away from the edge of the cliff. She knew that she had been in danger and she was grateful for her intuition that had kept her safe.

As she walked away, Tomoko knew that she had experienced something unexplainable, something that she could never fully understand. She would never forget the feeling of terror that had gripped her that day and the question of what it was, that somehow alerted her beforehand.”

The Rokurokubi is a supernatural creature from Japanese folklore that is known for the ability to stretch its neck to incredible lengths and its ability to shape-shift. This is our interpretation of one of these encounters.
